My creative approach focused on bringing viewers into a side of Minneapolis’ Black creative community they may not normally see. I wanted the content to feel energetic and empowering while maintaining an editorial quality that reflected the fashion-centered environment.

While filming, I looked for moments that gave each show personality—from distinctive model walks and movement within the clothing to behind-the-scenes preparation and interactions between creatives. In editing, I structured the recaps to move from preparation to the energy of the final show, using faster pacing and music rooted in Black culture to help establish the atmosphere. I also incorporated moments of original event audio, including the host recognizing the founder and production, to allow the energy of the actual room to become part of the story. pacing to bring viewers inside the process of building the show.
